Are they now?  Would it be a matter of power to see without seeing? 
Some kind of echo-location (*runs to her FBAWTFT*)...nothing here. ;-)
 Call me picky, but you kind of have to look at something to be able
to stab its eyes out!  Also, Fawkes doesn't exactly dtrike as
something that would be flying through the air with its eyes screwed
shut, <g>.
