Lockheart is teaching the 2nd years about werewolves,has Harry 
pretending to be one, talk a bout simple spell to transform them, 
etc.  In PoA, Snape throws his little fit about 3rd years not being 
able to tell a werewolf form a regular one, etc.  Why didn't  someone 
say, we learned some about them from Lockheart!?  They HAD learned 
about them in their 2nd year.  maybe it's to be covered abit more 
thoroughly in their 3rd year or maybe stuff covered by Lockheart was 
considered to never have happened considering the git he is...

I think we go with the 'Lockhart didn't teach them anything' theory, specially as if it was possible to cure a werewolf with one simple charm, Lupin would have had it done to him ages ago, surely??
