It was at the end of Prisoner of Azkaban, the day after Sirius' escape. If 
you recall, it was the main reason Lupin left....But Snape still isn't a bad 
guy! Just thought you all should know, I'm a Snape fan...:-D


The Trio was out by the lake and Hagrid comes over to tell them about 
Buckbeak's escape. While doing that he says something about Lupin leaving and 
being a werewolf. Harry runs to Lupin's office to see him packing up. Lupin 
said something about Snape "accidentally" letting his secret slip to the 
Slytherins
