We're having this problem in our church. I am co-leader of the Sunday School class for 13 and 14 year olds and one of the other leaders, the Christian Ed Director, and I formed the plan to take the class to see the film as one of our social activities from which we can launch into a discussion of ethical decision making. The third co-leader of the class refuses to have anything to do with this, and has actually made noise about doing something to stop it! She can't, of course, but could succeed in causing real unpleasantness.
She hasn't read the books, of course, and refuses to consider doing so. You just can't talk to some people and have to work around them sometimes. Not the ideal situation for doing teamwork in a church, but we'll muddle through! (The movie the kids want to see in December is Lord of the Rings...I can't wait 'til she figures out what THAT's about.)
