I wouldn't be at all surprised to see Voldemort try to get at HP through
Ron.  I think that the avenue of the attempt will be Ludo Bagman, who while
a friend of the Weasleys is also a compulsive gambler and at least had a
prior fraternization with the Death Eaters.
 
JKR has Voldemort use people's weaknesses against them, as with Hagrid in
Book 1 and Crouch Sr. in Book 4.  I can't believe that the extensive
development of Bagman's gambling is for nothing.
