Michelle asked about Peppermint Humbugs.  

Humbugs are a British (Muggle) style of sweets.  Hagrid having these 
suggests that either he got them from the Muggle world or that 
Wizzard sweets do have some overlap with Muggle sweets. 

We know from Dumbledore that some Wizzards do get hold of Muggle 
sweets...

A bit off topic but here goes for some candy backround.

There are a lot of traditional British sweets not seen quite as 
commonly these days but still around. Some of the sweets names in the 
HP books are evocations of this tradition.

Fizzballs for example really do exist.
