That's a pretty interesting idea.  I'm not sure it would be a very 
good strategy for Dumbledore's forces, though.  

By now, someone must have explained to Voldemort exactly why he lost 
the duel with Harry -- that their wands share a core.  If Voldemort 
is smart (which is certainly not a given), then he might change his 
own wand so that the next time he duels with Harry, he'll be packing 
unicorn or dragon heartstring instead of a Fawkes phoenix feather.  

So if Dumbledore's forces trade in their wands for new phoenix wands, 
they'll be in a great deal of trouble.  They will be using wands less 
suited to them, expecting Priori Incantatem to save them in a duel 
with Voldemort, and instead they'll simply be blasted with AK from 
Voldemort's new wand.
