shc> One more point:
shc> Neville is terrified by Snape who bears the mark.
shc> Neville feared the fake Moody - another Death-eater.
shc> Can't recall, but was he afraid of Quirrell, too?
shc> He trusted Lupin - the only good DADA teacher they had.
While I agree Lupin was the best, Fake Moody was a darn good DADA
teacher. I don't think Harry would have been able to break free of the
IC without his help. He taught them a lot...though his motives were
not as noble as they should have been.

shc> Maybe Neville can sense a dark-mark even as a Magic Eye can see it?
Neville Longbottom, "the sneaker scope in sneakers"....hmmm

shc> Ron's rat never gave him greeps, but the rat-form doesn't have it.
shc> Moody's Magic Eye can't see trough animagus - nor the Marauder Map.
shc> Rita Skeeter was NOT on it as a beetle, right? The trio checked it
shc> AIR.
The only time the marauders' map was used by Harry in GoF, IIRC, was
when he went to the prefects bathroom. Then Moody took it...they never
really thought of using it to find Rita....
