Cabbage or cats?

Help!
In my other readings of GoF in the tent scene, the larger tent has 
the smell of cabbages. Yesterday I was reading my English version of 
GoF and it says "cats." I went back to the American version and it 
also says cats. Did I misread all those times? Did the books 
magically change? Am I going insane? Waaaaah!
