With his life, just getting up in the morning probably is an act of incredible courage.  His parents are insane, he lives with some fairly nutty relatives, he's a wizard whose powers are almost completely repressed (and I believe those powers are great, evidenced by the events of the flying lesson), he is victimized by one teacher and pretty much scorned by the others.   This kid just keeps on going.

I love Neville!
