Oh No! Dilemma!
Based on your suggestions I must admit that I am in a bit of a
quandary. It is obvious that Harry's "Miss Wrong" is the beautiful
and talented Cho Chang. Oh, the first crush! How well JK wrote that.
I wonder how a woman writer can know what it really feels like to be
an adolescent boy in the midst of his first crush. Well done, JK!
I would also have to agree that Harmione's "Mr. Wrong" would have
to be Victor Krum. Me thinks that she doth protest too much! The
gaggle of giggling girls that always seemed to surround Victor always
seemed to irritate Harmione. Jealous? Let us not forget one major
thing that Harmione and Victor did have in common. The Library.
Harmione would naturally be attracted to a man that loved books as
much as she.
Furthermore, I must agree that Ron's "Miss Wrong" is indeed Fleur
Delacour. Remember, Fleur is only part Veela. Never underestimate the
power of a beautiful woman on the mind and hormones of an adolescent
boy...Veela or not. Besides, a Veela turns up the charm to entice an
object of her desire. She did not go full Veela throughout the book,
and yet Ron was still infatuated with her.
Okay, if your observations are true, that leaves me wondering
about the couple that has got to come together. Harry and Ginny.
Ginny has been in awe and love with Harry from book one. If she is to
fall for "Mr. Wrong" too, would that mean that the pairing of the two
is not meant to be? I am hoping that there is a flaw in the
calculations. Perhaps there is some magic that we have all forgotten.
I am relying on the power and wisdom of Dumbledore himself. He did
say in book three "...When one wizard saves another wizard's life, it
creates a certain bond between them..." I am hoping that this will
also hold true for Harry and Ginny. Harry did save Ginny's life and
therefore, they are joined together by that event. Besides, Harry
resembles his father so much and I am much mistaken if we wont soon
see Ginny Weasley soon develop a strong resemblance to Lily Potter
herself. They both already have a strong love for Harry, not to
mention the red hair in common. Any thoughts?
