 I Don't Write Fan-Fiction, But....

one character writeup I've played with for possible use in FF and/or online roleplay (should I decide to return to the dark side ;>) is "La Serenissima" Vestali, an Italian-American teacher at SWI and ex-auror, who finished up her schooling at a Mediterranean school run by her great-great grandfather, Domenico Borgia. S and D are themselves on the side of the good, but have to always contend with the machiavellian Borgia Clan's extremely longstanding and richly-deserved Bad Reputation, dating back from their famously badass Renaissance ancestors through their Cosa Nostra-esque magickal Mob connections and their involvement with the muggle fascists of WWII. Rather similar to your proposed Snape clan!

(PS... Margaret, your writing style seems uncannily familiar to me. Is it possible that I would remember you from QuantumLink lo these many years ago, from online x-men-derived freeform rpg and later from the EQ interactive fiction boards?)
