Hello from the Hexquarters again...
Folks, please remember to use appropriate subject prefixes for certain
topics. Basically, you put the prefix in front of the rest of your subject
line, so: "SHIP: H/H forever!"
The common prefixes are:
SHIP: shipping discussion
FF: references to fanfiction *which are tied to canon*. As in, "In M.S.
Whipple's 'Harry Potter and the Unforgivable Self-Insertion', she gives a
great reason why Harry is so short.". "Wow, this fic is great!" should be
restrained to OT-Chatter (or, preferably, one of the many fanfic lists out
there)
ADMIN: to be used only by Mods, Elves and Official Poltergeists for Admin
messages (like this one!)
Some less-used ones are:
FILK: A filk (known tune adapted to HP words)
MERCH: Merchandise...but bear in mind that announcements of new merchandise
must go to the HPFGU Announcements list.
Note that the MOVIE: prefix has been replaced with the Movie list. Movie
discussion on the main list is now forbidden to anyone who does not want to
die a most painful death.
Happy Thanksgiving to our American listies!
