Ron is more powerful than we think

Hmmm.  But then again, Hagrid has a 16 inch wand, and it is hard to 
imagine that he is more powerful than Voldemort.  Also, Cedric's is 
longer than Harry's, and one would think that Harry is more powerful 
than Cedric.

Wand length might simply be a function of height, as we know 
Voldemort is tall, but Hagrid is taller still.  James' wand is longer 
than Lily's (although we don't know their relative heights), and 
Ron's wand is longer than Harry's, and Ron is taller.
