Ok, I've been reading your essays and VFAQs and stuff and I can't
find an answer to this, so I have something to ask about how the
students get to school, if this has already been answered then don't
bother answering just direct me to essay etc where I can find your
answer.

How do the students in Scotland get to school. As far as we know from
the book, the Hogwarts Express is the only way, but it seems a bit, I
don't know, pointless? for a student who lives in Scotland to travel
to London to catch a train to go back to Scotland! And we have never
been told that the train stops at all on the way, which again seems
odd as surely it could pic some people up on the way (for example
people who live in the North of England and places like Birmingham)

I don't know but it seems like a bit of a waste of time to travel all
the way to London. Also is there a "Diagon Alley" type place in
Glasgow, Cardiff, Birmingham etc because, again, it seems a long way
to go to do your school shopping (ok wizards can get there by broom
or floo powder but Muggle borns can't!)

Please help, I am obssesed and love to know thigns like this, are
there any clues in the book I have missed?

HOLLYDAZE!!!
