Sturm und Drang means "storm and stress".  It was the name given to a 
literary movement in the mid to late 1700s that was a reactionary 
movement.  Geothe and Schiller were playwrights connected to it. It 
would be interesting if Durmstrang (Stress Storm?) was formed as a 
reaction to the established authorities of the day in the magical 
world.
