Yes, unless either Durmstrang has different rules than Hogwarts, or
Krum had had to repeat a year like Marcus Flint, or (my theory) Krum
had arranged to split his senior year and take the Durmstrang
equivalent of NEWTs over two half-time years in order to have more
time for 'playing' on the Bulgarian National Quidditch team.

What nonsense! I'm sorry to be so rude, but I NEVER perceived
Lockhart as powerful. He was handsome and a celebrity, but he had no
power over the Ministry, and even tho' he had the power of the
gradebook over his students, they were much more scared of Snape and
even McGonagall.

More nonsense. Krum has fame, he might have wealth (from endorsement
deals?), but he has no power except to forego or not forego catching
the Snitch in a match. Oh, and to ask Karkaroff for extra food or
blankets if he wanted to.

Harry has fame, maybe Hermione knows that he has wealth, but what
power does he have? Not enough to get points from Snape. Not enough
to get his detentions cancelled. Not enough to get books out of the
Restricted Section without either a teacher's signature or an
Invisibility Cloak (well, maybe NOW he could Accio them).

Oh, I get it! To your friend, fame IS power!

So we can go off into a discussion of whether Hermione is attracted
to fame and maybe wealth. I most certainly do not perceive any such
thing in the books: she does not show any fondness for Bagman (a
celebrity), Crouch (real power: department head), Fudge (as Minister,
he has a combination of celebrity and patronage power), Lucius Malfoy
(real power and real wealth! plus a modicum of fame by showing up in
the Society Pages of Witch Weekly), or Draco Malfoy.

Oh, I am repeating other posts: Ebony on Hermione not liking the
power of Voldemort, Malfoy, or Dark creatures like Dementors. Cindy
Sphinx on fame vs power and Hermione not liking Fudge.

Hazel-Rah7 wrote very intelligently on the above topic and Percy,
and she signed off as:

That name caught my attention because already we have Mrs. Severus
Snape (Dinah Bludger_witch) and we have Amanda from Texas, a MAJOR
Snape fan (and heraldry expert).

Or that he already was "yellow" i.e. a coward.

That would not be useful for avoiding detection and detention. For
example, if you checked the map for whether the coast is clear before
sneaking into the Restricted Section after curfew, you don't want to
run into ANY professor, staff member, or anyone with a right to be
there, even one whom you've never met.

You've given me an idea for a fanfic that I'm not going to write:
Harry and who-ever sneak out after checking on the Marauder's Map
that no one is there, and run smash into an adult stranger -- the
spouse of one of the professors.
