Zarleycat suggests that Snape might have been involved is the elaborate
protections of HP involved potions.  The original question, however, was a
speculation about Lilly Potter being involved in establishing the scheme.
It is doubtful that Snape would have been involved in any project
simultaneous with Lilly Potter because at the time Snape was either a Death
Eater or a double agent whose loyalties were known only to very few, and
Lilly Potter would not have been one of those.
