One possibility to consider is whether it is possible, for those not close
to London, to buy Hogwarts supplies at Hogsmead.  Given that it's an
entirely wizard village, and adult wizards have to buy robes, books, potion
supplies, wands, etc., it is certainly possible that remotely situated
Hogwarts students could purchase their supplies there.
