Marcus blasphemed,
> If Harry hadn't gone after Snape and arrived at the mirror with
> Quirrel, the bad guys would never had gotten access to the stone. It
> was only because Harry showed up that the stone came out of the
> mirror. Therefore, Harry should have just stayed in Griffindor tower
> where he belonged.
Au contraire!
People only arrive at these silly conclusions because they think Dumbledore
is *good.* The endarkened among us have long since realized that Dumbledore
is, in fact, Evil and is carefully grooming Harry for some Nefarious
Corruption known only to himself.
We weren't supposed to catch on - but Dumbledore slipped up when he
mentioned his yearning for socks - those infamous symbols of Rot and Decay.
Baaaaaa!
