Ah! The level of insight, familiarity and most of
all, civil discussion on this board is absolutely
delightful! My ideas on the subject have been
thoroughly debunked but with the utmost respect
and evenness.  Truly, the mark of a "grownup"
attitude! :)

The thing about L.Malfoy (who I still don't think
of as particularly sharp - his place in the
aristocracy speaks more of family ties than
current wisdom) slipping the diary to Ginny still
befuddles me from the aspect that it seems a very
inefficient, ponderous way of getting to the
point - which as I've been reminded, is not HP
but much bigger magical fish.

I recently embarked on a second reading of PoA
but will begin SS again, instead. This discussion
is enhancing my enjoyment of a book already
incredible in its power to divert!
