Yes, well, Joshua's point was that Lord Voldemort
(himself) wasn't behind the idea of Malfoy giving
Ginny the diary. Malfoy came up with the idea on his
own (or at least not with V's help).

As for -Tom Riddle- giving Malfoy the idea..... I
really think it's unlikely.
