First off, endarkened is not a word ^_^. 

Socks. I read somewhere (was it on the lexicon? I can't remember..) that 
socks is a symbol for love. Disgusting, yes, but also interesting, in my 
opinion.

I think Dumbledore is a good guy. He is a symbol of  values, morals, "good", 
etc. He detests Voldemort and Death Eaters. You might argue that it is 
because Voldemort is a rival to his power. If Dumbledore was this 
power-hungry he would have surely been in Slytherin as that is a key trait of 
the house (not saying that it's always a bad thing, I personally love 
Slytherin the House)
