That's not really a page from Lucas' book.  Messiah figures have been 
common in fantasy literature -- and mythology before that -- for ages.

Now that you bring it up, though, JKR has specifically said she does 
not want to follow Star Wars too much in one sense: she claims that 
making Harry related to Voldemort would be too Star Wars and 
therefore not desirable.  HOWEVER, the whole Ron/Hermione ship feels 
may too much like Han Solo/Princess Leia to me:  Ron has tons in 
common with Han -- kind of "scoundrel" personality, is a capable 
character, but doesn't have abilities in the same league as the "main 
character" (Luke Skywalker), etc.
