How Big Was The Burrow?

Greetings to all reading my first posting to what I consider an very 
impressive discussion group

If Arthur Weasley could magically expand that blue Anglia to accommodate 
eight people, six large gtrunks, two owls and a rat and more or less did the 
same thing with two tents in GofF, why was the Burrow so sacrosanct that he 
could not expand it.

After all, Molly says there is not enough room (I guess in the kitchen) for 
eleven people so they ate out in the garden and four beds were squeezed in 
where there were two before.  

Could it be that Molly feels it inappropriate to use magic for personal 
comfort or convenience since the Burrow would appear the same from the 
outside.  (Check that invisibility button on the dashboard on the way to 
King's Cross!).
