Hi, new member here, love the stuff you people talk about. So glad to
finally be in an intelligent HP forum. Spent my first few days just reading!

I kinda understood this part (Fudge's ranting at the end of GoF) as Fudge
trying desperately to believe that Voldemort hasn't really resurfaced,
despite the overwhelming evidence that proves his return. Lashing out at
Dumbledore, having a Dementor perform the Kiss on Barty Jr. without even
listening to him, slandering Harry, seems like the actions of a desperate
man with plenty to hide.
Makes you wonder, doesn't it?

I just want to know, did anybody notice Ron's hints about Percy in GoB (to
paraphrase, "I don't know... If he thought we were standing in the way of
his career... Percy's really ambitious, you know...")? Is Percy going to
turn up to be another Barty Crouch (unlikely, coz he's too young), or will
he be 'seduced' by LV? Toss up, really...

Just loose talk: I told my sister (who's a casual HP fan) the possibility
that Harry might die by the end of the series. She scoffed at me and told
me that wasn't possible because it's a children's book after all. Yeah,
right, the series ceased to be purely for kids by the 3rd book (maybe even
the 2nd). Anything can happen, I think.
