Defeating Voldemort

I am coming out of long term lurkdom to pose a question.  I have
trawled through the archives and the FAQs and haven't been able to
find anything about this.  My apologies if I missed something.

This actually came to me while reading some of Barb's fanfiction.

Is it the general consensus that Harry will eventually defeat
Voldemort (in the seventh book)?  It seems very likely that this is
the case.  My question is: how can this happen?  If their wands are
brothers, as we have seen in GoF, and they cannot be used against
each other, is it expected that Harry will get a shot in before
Voldemort can defend himself?  It just occurred to me that this is
plausible, but I would like to hear others views nevertheless.
