Two things:
(1) They are very nervous and not thinking straight.

(2) "Excuse me", said Ron, hurrying up to her, "We've forgotten the 
way to our common room."

"I beg your pardon?"  said the girl stiffly, "*Our* common room?  
*I'm* a Ravenclaw."

Ron did not say she's from Slytherin.  He asked for directions 
to "our" common room.  The girl took it to include herself.
