However I think we can all agree it must be
something that is both extremely dangerous and vital
to the cause.
Dumbledore: "Severus you know what I must ask you
to do....if you are ready....if you are prepared."
Snape: "I am."
He's paler than usual and his eyes glitter
strangely. Dumbledore watches him leave with a trace
of apprehension showing on his face. It is clear
wherever Snape is going it's quite possible he won't
return and they both know it.

I remember that scene. Snape's hand tightens on the
back of a chair as he asks "Who is it?"

I believe Harry is the heir of Godric Gryffindor in
a spiritual sense, a matter of character rather than
blood descent.
