I just finished re-reading PoA, and was really touched by the scene in which Harry (older by three hours) watches Snape conjure stretchers for him, Hermione, Ron, and maybe even Sirius and transports them to Hogwarts. Even though he acts like a jerk later, he took care of them when they were injured.

I'm not a member of Snape Lovers Anonymous, but wanted to add my two cents. It is the act of an ethical man to aid and care for people (even children) who have recently injured and abused him.
