Oh, I hope not either!  But the Hermione in literature I like best is 
the one in *The Winter's Tale*.  I wrote a paper on it this summer 
and was lucky enough to catch it at the National Theatre while in 
London.  There are other interesting allusions there IMO... does 
anyone else see Ron as Leontes?
