As Vanessa said, it's probably because it's from Harry's POV -- he doesn't
notice that Hermione Is Pretty, so it's a fair bet he'll not register the
stuff on the dinner table he doesn't eat.

Also, who would say "ooh, I want to go to Hogwarts" if the meals consisted
of Healthy Things?
