A 10-year old girl sees the legend of Wizarding World, one who saved the 
World at the age of one, beating the evil wizard whose name her parents are 
terrified to mention (everyone else is, too, as far as she knows). Harry is 
her idol. Of course Ginny was absolutely excited to see him! And, she was 
only ten. Her brother Ron wasn't acting maturely when he saw /his/ idol, 
Krum (and Ron was 14!)

If a 10-year-old Elvis-fan saw Elvis Presley in crowd back at 60's... I 
think she'd behaved pretty much the same way.
