Expectation is a powerful prod to action. If Draco finds himself in a 
situation where something depends entirely on him, such as pulling 
Hermione up off a cliff (and I don't mean this *literally*), won't he 
do it and not think too hard about it? I hope so. It's one thing 
defeating an enemy; refusing in extremity to offer assistance -- 
that's truly evil.
