I don't think we've ever been explicitly told that Sirius & Peter are,
for a fact, Gryffindor alumini.

Lucius Malfoy may not know that Snape was a spy.

Also, Snape turned against Voldemort but it doesn't mean he doesn't
have the same basic hatreds & prejudices.
