The great mushball that I am wholeheartedly agrees with you on this.  
As I mentioned a few digests ago about Sirius Black, I have a real 
soft spot for anyone who shows genuine love and concern for Harry.  
It melts my heart and makes me cry every time.

It truly amazes me also that Harry has grown up to be such a 
wonderful young man with so much concern for other people after a 
lifetime of "abuse" from the Dursleys.  It gives the old nature vs. 
nurture argument a real run for its money.
