The Chamber of Secrets was said to be built over a thosand years ago, so logically, the School is also 1000+ years old. I've estimated around 850 CE, but the way I see it, in the Harry Potter world, noone really knows when it was founded.

If that last statement is true, then the Rowena Ravenclaw and her cohorts are probably all properly dead.
