The best thing to do is going to be to go to the local blood bank and donate blood. Most of the banks across the country will be sending their reserves to the areas that were attacked and then their resources will be depleted.

Unfortunately, I have a blood disorder that prevents me from donating but, please, everyone who is able, try to donate some blood.

Thank you,
Lisa-Ann

Keep calm and away from public buildings. Don't take to the roads; panicky
drivers can kill you just as effectively as crazed terrorists and there are
probably a lot more of them about at the moment. I just wish that there was
something sensible I can do, other than sending hugs by email and hoping
that all of your loved ones are safe; but it is possible to survive through
terrorist actions (I live in Manchester, which was flattened by a bomb in
1996) and even become stronger as a result - it's the only way to beat these
bastards.
