This is exactly correct, with one addition. Give the Red Cross time to prepare! Right now the collection centers are overrun with people, which is causing great frustration. Wait until tomorrow, call a blood bank, and make an appointment.
I am a Red Cross volunteer and just checked in with my local center. They are hoping that the people who are trying to donate now! today! will be willing to wait a day or so...
