Obviously no one is suggesting that. However, it is reasonable that 
in four years' worth of books, with all kinds of situations from 
classes to parties in the common room to feasts in the Great Hall, 
other Gryffindor students of Harry's year would have been mentioned. 
Not only are they not mentioned by name, they aren't even implied. I 
am sure there are more Hufflepuffs than Hannah, Justin, and Ernie 
even though they aren't named, since we don't spend much time with 
the Hufflepuffs. But we see almost the entire book from the point of 
view of the Gryffindors. If there were a bunch of unnamed Gryffindors 
in all those Potions classes or celebrating Quidditch victories in 
the Common Room, it is entirely logical and to be expected that at 
some point we'd have at least been told that they were there or that 
they would have spoken up in class or SOMETHING!
