On Tuesday night the BBC news here showed footage of Palestinians 
celebrating the WTC attacks.  The anchor asked the Jerusalem 
correspondent, Orla Guerin, if this was true and she replied, yes, 
there were some people who had celebrated, but that the majority were 
in shock, as you would expect, and glued to their television screens 
like the rest of the world.

So I think it's likely that the CNN footage was both authentic and 
misleading.
