IMHO I wouldn't even say "the first one" being "less"
esoteric or magical as "The third one". Heck, in fact I can't even, most of
the time, split one from the other (Possibly since I've read the four of them
in a row, night after night, in only 4 days... I still keep the whole plot as
a single thing on my mind).

I don't think there is really a difference on the way things are
being spotted up in between them. I only find the story getting deeper as you
get deeper into it, but not as it would be so much different in between
themselves as to being picky on which one is "more" or "Less" magical...

I Love movies. I'm a movie collector myself, I Love both Spielberg
and Columbus's work, but I have deep faith on JK's criteria, and if I have to
be true to myself, I find somehow all this Spielberg fuss about HP a little
bit "Opportunistic". I certainly hope the wizard who started his big thing
with such a nice story as "THX..." won't end up in a "Battle of the egos",
and CERTAINLY NOT around HP. Okay, dunno if the point is to make Harry look
like a "Freudian Poster Boy" (But I have to admit I am still thinking about
the hidden sex-appeal on Draco Malfoy... -chuckles!-) but I think we are
talking about totally different kinds of "Magic" on screen. After all, not
every wizard gets the same result on the same spell, as well as not every
musician sounds the same on the same song...

IMHO, here my 2 galleons. :)
