You know what people, this is utterly rediculas.  It's a waste of space and time to read all you you freaking out over a POLL.  Polls are taken every day of your life and are you going to stand around for half an hour wanting to know every thing about it...no!  You give your awnser and move on.  Yahoo is not using our information for sinister purposes (although at times I wouldnt' put it past them) and neither are the group moderators.

I'm sorry but a lot of you need to grow up and get on with your lives instead of worring about whose gonna know you voted Extream Right when your friend votes Left.

I really don't see how any of this information is damaging, everyone already knows I'm a bi-sexual, wiccan who has way too much free time over here in Oregon and supported Gore till her last breath (hence me being Extreame Left).  I dont' see anyone bursting down my apartment door and arresting me.

We are a diverse group, and sometimes it's fun to see that diversity.  I'm sorry if your too stuck in your little private holes to enjoy that but some of us don't care where this information goes and just get annoyed with others who fill up the lists asking inane questions.

Let me explain it to you in simple terms.  We log on.  We get a cookie that tracks us (well, most of us, some of us are weird enough to turn off the cookie).  We then to go HPforGrownups and click on polls.  We then awnser the polls.  The cookie is activated to record our awnsers.  Our awnser are then sent to the server who updates the tally.  In a blind poll only our awnsers go, and in a non-blind our email goes with the awnser.  Now say we think about it and we're more homo then bi for instance.  Then we log back on and go change our awnser.  Now the cookie knows we already awnsered so it tells ther server this is a changed awnser and they remove a previous vote for bi and add one for homo.  This information is not collected save for on the server that holds the polls.  The CIA, RCMP, Scotland Yard, nor Interpool is lying in wait for our awnsers.  They are not published nor brodcast on late night radio.  No one besides us...cares.
