As per the norm, I've snipped the newsletter down to the parts
containing only Harry Potter references. However, for those of you in
the UK who have plans to see or are interested in Rickman's appearance
onstage in Private Lives, email me offlist and I'll send you the whole
thing.
And yes, I have permission from the publisher to forward this stuff,
provided I keep the identifying info at the end.

3. HARRY POTTER: PREMIERE
According to ITN (7 September, 2001), the first Harry
Potter film will premiere in London on November 4. It
sounds like it will be a gala event! Whether Alan
Rickman will be there or not remains probably depends
on the time of the premiere Alan Rickman is due to
be on stage at 4pm in Private Lives on that day!
Here are the details of the premiere from ITN:
The sure-fire blockbuster will have its worldwide
premiere at the Odeon in Leicester Square and will be
followed by a glamorous celebration party.
The movie, produced by Warner Bros Pictures, is one of
the most eagerly anticipated of the year, generating
the kind of hype normally associated with Star Wars.
The film will then go on general release in the UK and
North America on November 16.

4. HARRY POTTER: THIRD TRAILER OUT!
Very quietly, the third Harry potter trailer has snuck
out According to FilmForce (22 September, 2001),
Channel One got the scoop but if you want to make
sure you see the trailer, instructions are given below
in the FilmForce article:
New Potter Promo
See all new scenes from Harry Potter and the
Sorcerer's Stone.

Things are heating up in the wizarding realm once
again. Warner Bros. is set to release the third and
final trailer for Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's
Stone some time soon, and the film's release date
(November 16th) will be here before you know it.
The tidal wave of Potter hype has begun, as evidenced
by a new 30-second promo that aired on Channel One
the educational/entertainment TV network that's beamed
to many schools around the US.
The new creature-themed TV spot has some cool new
shots, including one of Hagrid playing with Norbert,
and the troll following Hermione into the bathroom.
As the scenes play the narrator says, "Behind the
walls of Hogwarts School there are wizards, witches,
dragons, trolls, and, of course, Fluffy. On November
16th, Warner Bros. presents: Harry Potter and the
Sorcerer's Stone."
There's also a never-before-seen establishing shot of
Hogwarts in the snow, a scene where Harry magically
breaks stuff in Olivander's shop, and a cool scene of
some quidditch players zipping around on their brooms.
Here's how you can see it for yourself: Just click
the link below and a new window with the RealVideo
broadcast of today's (Friday, Sept. 21) Channel One
show will launch. It is then possible to fast forward
to the appropriate place in the video by clicking and
dragging the little bar that moves along as the video
plays. Position it just before the seventh line in
the tracking bar, and you should be very close. The
Potter promo is the first commercial shown during the
broadcast.
Click here to watch the RealVideo from Channel One.
Channel One updates often so that link is subject to
change. We'll do our best to keep it current, but if
it isn't working for you just go here and poke around
'til you find the Sept. 21st broadcast.

******And in Australia, they are still only showing
the first trailer in movie theatres! Id be alarmed
except one of Australias largest movie theatre chain,
Hoyts, still lists it as commencing November 29!
