JKR has said they don't go to schools, they are home-schooled in the 
basic subjects...which I imagine would be an easier thing to do with 
magic...I still find that a little weird. Anyway, if they haven't had 
magic school before they go to Hogwarts, and the purebloods don't 
know anythign about muggle schooling, it would make sense that they 
haven't been at school before. Which gives the muggleborns an 
advantage, IYAM.
