So Where *Does* Dumbledore Go On His Summer Vacation? Not To Mention Snape, etc.

    I think it's the Lexicon, or maybe JKR herself,
who stated Hogwarts is abandoned for the summer by
everybody but Filch, (and maybe Hagrid).
   So where do they all go? I imagine most of the
staff does the sort of things non-magical people do on
their vacations, visit relatives or take trips to
exotic locals.
   Dumbledore, as such an important elder statesman
type wizard, may have to spend much of his vacation in
conferences and official duties of various kinds,
(poor man!).
   But what do you suppose Snape does over the summer?
Travel to collect rare and exotic potion ingredients?
Return to his family home and spend the summer trading
vicious but witty digs with assorted relations? Rent a
place on the Riviera and enjoy a passionate two months
with the Potions Mistress from Beauxbatons?
