I'm not sure that bedcause people are on the outs and not speaking to
each other means that Harry was stabbed in the back. Stabbing someone
in the back usually indicates that person is doing or saying awful
things about the other person, usually while pretending to be a
friend.

Remember how Arthur told Ginny at the end of CoS: "Haven't I taught
you anything? Never trust anything that can think for itself if you
can't see where it keeps its brain." (CoS, British Adult PB version,
p. 242). I'm sure Ron learned that from his father and is why he
doesn't want Harry to pick it up.

Well, I think that one's obvious to anyone with half a brain at all.
I seriously doubt any divination skills need for that one.
