As a Mary Sue, Hermione is downright farcical. Four books of 
rock'em sock'em adventure and so far she's singlehandedly, 
um, captured a beetle. <g> I mean, when it comes to saving the 
day, where is she? Out cold, as a rule. A fanfic told from the 
perspective of Hermione as a failed Mary Sue could be hilarious,  
IMO.
