I am one of the devout followers of SACRIFICE (although I prefer my own
acronym, RICK'S THE BOSS), because it's the only way Ron can actually
fulfil his wish (see mirrow of Erised): Even if he's made quidditch
captain, one of his brothers (Charlie, wasn't it?) has already been it,
and he wouldn't get as much glory. Ron knows it: he confesses so to
Harry in the train in book 1, IIRC. That's why I belive he's going to
die in self-sacrifice and give Harry the opportunity to destroy
Voldemort.

On a side note, I think the reason I don't participate in shipping
debates is because, since both Ron and Harry have very many
possibilities of turning out dead by the end of the series, I have no
desire of discussing who's going to end up with broken hearts over
who's death.

I believe that Snape is afraid of Hermione. Very much so, in fact: he
knows that Hermione, if she continues learning things, will be able to
surpass him as a potion master in fairly short time. Snape knows that
the trio have brewed the multijuice potion at least once, and that's
not your everyday cup of tea. If Hermione is capable of brewing it,
she's capable of brewing anything, and Snape doesn't anyone to be
better than him at potions.

Hope that helps
