If I only had to pick one, it'd be the Hut on the Rock, and Harry's 
introduction to his past and future. That scene works on so many 
levels and has just the right mixture of poignancy, pathos and humour.

I'm probably a bit biased - I'm one of those few whose first 
introduction to the Potterverse was the celluloid thingy of which we 
do not speak on this list, and that scene was my favourite there as 
well. Strangely enough, it's one of the most changed scenes, and made 
perfectly cinematic, just as the original book scene was perfectly 
literary.

I've never thought about that, but now you mention it, it is just a
